With Fortnite season 7 releasing on December 3, Monday, and marking the end of season 6, we can all say RIP Kevin The Cube, you may, or may not be missed (it's subjective, you know).
So EPIC Games have added a new EPIC game mode called "Creative", which does exactly what you'd expect it to do...(ahem, Minecraft, ahem). We now have the freedom to create our own island and rules and basically...be creative. (Kinda like Playground mode, but extended possibilities) this mode is free to play for players who own the battle pass, and it will become free to play for everyone on 13 December.
The most noticeable change (quite literally) is the addition of a snow biome to the map, bringing with it 3 new locations (Frosty Flights, Polar Peak and Happy Hamlet) and several other Points of Interests. Icy surfaces around the map, when stepped on, will cripple you by freezing your character's feet (similar to chillers). Ziplines have also been attached to some locations, which can be used for shooting up your foes, from the comfort of riding a ridiculously fast zipline.
After all this time resisting, Fortnite has also given in to the trend popularized by gaming franchises like CS and COD, pretending your gun is a Barbie, and dressing it up like a 9 year old(Go pewds!). Skins are now a feature in Fortnite to customize your guns, rebranded as "wraps". Speaking of skins, new skins and cute puppy pets would also be added with the season 7 battle pass.
The addition of a new means of transportation, The X-4 Stormwing Plane, is Epic Games' way of saying "Screw you!" To PUBG. This beast has 5 seats (4 passengers on the wing, and a pilot), a mounted machine gun (don't go too trigger happy though, it can overheat), a boost and an airbrake, and the capability to make sharp turns, fly upside down, or even (drumroll please) DO A BARREL ROLL!!!
Other small changes include some bug fixes which no one is patient enough (or interested) to read, reworking of the balloons (you can now use weapons while being airborn, with only 3 balloons attached to your back, with the maximum stack limit being 10, instead of 20), and updates on scoped crosshairs of thermal and scoped ARs.
Season 7 shows some promise, and obviously new items will be added later, so till next time folks!
