Valve makes CS:GO free, and proceeds to kill game (Also Battle Royale)

Valve corporation just announced that CS GO is now free, and jumped onto the battle royale express by adding its own mode, Danger Zone.

CS:GO is the latest in a long line of games succumbing to the Battle Royale fever that has the industry in its  teeth. Following PUBG and Fortnite’s popularity, other makers have been quick to tack on their own, albeit sometimes poorly implemented Battle Royale modes. (read: call of duty)
The new mode has 16 players, and introduces a weird feature, where you get to select on the map, where you are going to land, and have a leverage of a few metres with your parachute, and adds a tab (think: rainbow six siege), to view the map, and buy weapons in classic CS style. Weapons you buy are ferried directly to you via drone, which I believe can be shot down by others, though I have been trying for the past few games. The drone is a tactical problem for campers, because anybody can follow it to the player’s location. The map has PUBG type red zones in the form of Hexagonal Artillery strikes. The game is fast paced, although its a pretty small battle royale, on a small map (huge by CS standards) and its infuriating not finding players to kill, or get killed by. Also CS:GO is now free. I mean, CS:GO IS NOW FREE!

That’s good news if you are poor or retarded, and didn’t buy it previously, but if you are one of those die hard FPS fans, who swear by the skin of their knife, that means a huge influx of players, and, well it sucks knowing that you paid for a game, and then it went free. Of course Valve isn’t crazy (or maybe it is) and didn’t leave users who had coughed up the money with their pants down. Users who paid for the game have all been upgraded to Prime Status, and have proceeded to sell Prime Status for 39.99$. Of course you still have to buy skins, I mean, how else are they supposed to make money?!!
But now, to the problem. Basically, once Valve rolled out the Danger Zone update (and flooded Steam with ads about it), people who used AMD or Intel Integrated Graphic cards, kind of noticed that the game refused to launch. I have a couple of friends who downloaded CS:GO for the first time just to see that it won't boot. Nice impression. Great going, Valve. The game popped up a black screen then quit. People frantically googled answers, only to find out on Reddit, that it wasn't their own issue, but something Valve broke, and they were going to have to live  without CS:GO for a few hours. The horror.

At the wee morning hours of the day after the breaking, after what must have been a long overtime, Valve pushed out a hotfix for AMD users at about 12:30 AM GMT, or 6:00 AM, IST. Optimism built up as people received 11 MB updates like angels from heaven. At about 12:00 PM IST, Valve also pushed out a hotfix  for Intel users, and once again all was well. Now where are those expensive ass skins I purchased for my knife, at the price of another full game?
